The Cheltenham Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Cheltenham to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in ‘listen’ not ‘sell’ mode 🙂

We’re meeting in Cheltenham for the very first time (woohoo!) at the lovely Clockwise offices. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.

Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.

Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Speaker: Jason Suttie, Founder at Charlie Xray
Topic: The Slow Death of a Good Brand

No one sets out to ruin their brand. But sometimes it just sort of happens. A tweak here, a new idea there, a team doing their own thing because it makes sense at the time. Before long, what felt clear and sharp starts to feel… blurry.

This talk is about that slow brand drift. How it happens, why most teams miss it, and why it quietly starts costing you. It’ll also introduce BrandOps, the layer most businesses don’t have that keeps everything aligned when things start moving fast.

In this talk, you’ll discover:

1. Why brand drift feels normal while it’s quietly pulling you off course
2. Why that rogue sales deck is making your CAC increase
3. What a 1700s naval disaster has to do with creative sign-off

Your speaker!
Jason Suttie helps stop brands falling apart.

His work spans both building brands properly and making sure they hold up in day-to-day reality. Because that’s where things too often go wrong.

He’s built an agency, been a CMO, and spent enough time in the weeds to know that most brands don’t fail because of bad strategy. They get diluted when they’re left to run without structure.
Charlie Xray is where that led. It focuses on BrandOps, the systems and discipline that keep a brand consistent, aligned and working as the business evolves.
