Workshop: How to create original and effective video content for your business
Nothing helps your audience identify and relate to your business more than video (bar being in the room with them). A video puts a face to a name and allows an audience to see the genuine nature of your business and offering. Brands need video — this idea isn’t new. What has changed is how important video has become on every platform and channel. Over 80% of all traffic will consist of video by 2021. (Cisco)
Video has absolutely dominated social. According to a recent HubSpot report, four of the top six channels on which global consumers watch video are social channels.
Why is this important? If you aren’t creating video, you’re falling behind. But don’t fret. For most videos, the more simple and raw it is, the more authentic the content seems … and that’s what really matters to your audience. Better yet, video production is more cost-effective than ever — you can shoot in high-quality, 4K video with your smartphone.
And yet, between camera equipment to lighting to editing software, the topic of video marketing can still seem pretty complicated. That’s why we’re running this workshop.
This workshop will enable you to create some video content and give you the confidence to be yourself on camera. We’ll explore what makes compelling video, understand what types of video content work best for your business to attract and engage with your customers.
Who should attend and why you will benefit
This workshop is aimed at video newbies and marketeers with some video experience. Attendees will get practical experience shooting and editing video on their mobile and leave with a tactical plan of how best to deploy video for their business.
Everyone watches videos but not everyone understands what makes people come back for more. We’ll start by unpacking what makes video great content, demystifying “storytelling” and how to transfer this into your marketing plan.
Next, we’ll get practical with some simple “talking heads” videos you will film on your mobile and we’ll edit them down to size so you can post them straight away on social. We’ll also walk through the basic stages of video production and how to get better audio/visual/craft production value into your own videos.
Finally, we’ll explore what types of content work best for your business, on what platforms and how video can work within your marketing and sales processes to drive a business result.
