Friendly Terms and Conditions
- Definitions
In these Friendly Terms and Conditions, let’s get to know some terms:
- “Event” means our awesome IRL (in-person) event, organised by Marketing Meetup Ltd.
- “Participant” means you, the fantastic individual attending the Event.
- “Organiser” means us, Marketing Meetup Ltd, the friendly folks responsible for organising and managing the Event.
- Registration and Participation
2.1 To join in the fun at the Event, Participants need to register beforehand through our designated online registration platform.
2.2 By registering for the Event, Participants agree to follow these Friendly Terms and Conditions.
- Personal Data and Photography
3.1 During the registration process, we’ll ask Participants to provide some personal details, like their name, job title, and company.
3.2 By registering for the Event, Participants agree that we can share their personal data with our local event organisers to make the Event even better. If Participants prefer not to share their info, they can let us know in writing.
3.3 During the Event, Participants agree that photographs of them may be taken by our local event organisers and shared on social media. If Participants prefer us not to share photographs of them, they can let us know in writing.
- Liability and Indemnification
4.1 Participants, please be aware that you are attending the Event at your own risk.
4.2 We, the Organiser, won’t be held responsible for any injury, accident, loss, or damage that may happen during the Event, except in cases of serious negligence or intentional misconduct on our part.
4.3 Participants agree to have our back and protect us from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that may arise from their attendance or participation in the Event.
- Event Conduct and Safety
5.1 We expect Participants to be kind, professional, and respectful during the Event and to follow any safety instructions provided by us or the venue.
5.2 We reserve the right to ask any Participant to leave the Event if they’re not behaving appropriately, including but not limited to disorderly conduct, harassment, or not following these Friendly Terms and Conditions or safety instructions.
- Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 If we need to cancel the Event for any reason, we’ll let Participants know and refund any registration fees paid.
6.2 If a Participant decides to cancel their registration, they should notify us in writing. We’ll provide refunds according to our refund policy.
- Changes to the Event
Sometimes, we might need to make changes to the Event, like adjusting the schedule, speakers, or venue. We hope Participants understand and can be flexible with us!
- Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Friendly Terms and Conditions follow the laws of the UK. Any disagreements that come up in connection with these terms will be addressed in the courts of the UK.
- Entire Agreement
These Friendly Terms and Conditions make up the whole agreement between the Participant and the Organiser, taking the place of any previous agreements or understandings about the subject. Let’s all have a great time at the Event 🙂
