The Bristol / Bath Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Bristol and Bath to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂
We'll be back at the awesome Temple Studios for this one. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.
The focus of the event will be very much focused on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We'll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.
Let's have a lovely night in the company of some amazin' people.
Speaker: Tom Ridges, CEO & Founder of Herdify
Topic: It’s a new world… Why demographics are horsesh*t and why marketing to individuals is so 2023
"Eight out of 10 millennials know demographics are horsesh*t." So says Mark Ritson. We used to think that people who look the same (ie they happen to have been born in the same decade), behave in the same way. And we marketed to them in the same way, exactly like our competitors. Today’s most successful brands – like Huel, Airbnb, Abel & Cole and Ella’s Kitchen – focus on their real-world communities.
Humans don’t make logical decisions, we learn socially and we copy the people we hang around with in real life. In fact, only 8% of us will make a purchase without a recommendation from someone we trust. Join Tom Ridges, CEO and Founder of Herdify, as he demonstrates the power of behavioural science and community influence to supercharge your marketing strategy in 2024.
The format of the night:
5:30 pm - Doors open - drinks, networking, and smiles
6:00 pm – Introduction, talk and Q&A’s
6:45 pm- Talks finish, networking, listening, saying hello, and positively lovely people - a nice chilled out time 🙂
7:30 pm - End of the night - you leave with new contacts and fresh ideas

This is a donation-ticketed event, with a suggested ticket price of £5-£15.
We of course understand that these are tough times, so if you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the minimum donation amount of £1, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll find a ticket for you (provided capacity hasn't already been reached!) 🙂
Please let your marketing friends and colleagues know about this group too, I hope to build it into a great resource for the community over the coming months and years. Attendance will be taken at this event. If you RSVP 'Yes' and then do not come, you will receive a strike. Three strikes and you're outta here! This is simply a measure to allow appropriate respect to the organisers, speakers, sponsors, and your fellow community members 🙂
See you there!
