The Reading Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Reading to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂
We're back at our new location for this one, at Co-Space in Broad St Mall 🙂 It can be a little challenging to find the entrance, so have a look at the directions just below for info!
Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out, friendly space.
Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Title: Using your Competitors to Supercharge your Search
71% of loyal buyers switch brands at least once a year. Competition is high and decision making is influence by many factors. This talk will explore the buyer behaviour, factors that influence decisions, and what you can learn from your competition in order to stand out in the crowded marketplace.
Key takeaways will include:
- Why you need to be keeping an eye on your competitors and customer behaviours
- How to observe your competitors and customers to inform your strategy
- How to use these observations to inform and adapt your marketing strategy
About the speaker:
Director of Behavioural Science and Innovation and I am obsessed with helping brands better utilise their audience insights, customer journeys and market intelligence to supercharge their brand’s customer journeys.
With a scientific research PhD and 12 years’ experience in digital marketing, I started my marketing career in PPC and Paid Social and Programmatic, before adding digital transformation, CX, customer journey mapping and behavioural science to my experience. I centre my teams around producing data lead actionable insights, through statistical analysis and principles of psychology. Making future decision making more robust.
My real passion lies with integrating behavioural science, customer journeys, innovation and automation/AI into digital activation. Identifying ways to be smarter in digital channels, integrating different data sets and audience insights to deliver maximum performance.

Directions to Co-Space!
If you are driving:
Please use the Broad Street Shopping Mall Car Park (entrance via Castle Street) and park on the 3rd floor (rooftop). If you follow the arrows all the way round, there will be a ramp to go down half a level (staying on the rooftop level). Head down the ramp and Co-Space is directly in front of you at that point.
If you are walking:
Please use the Broad Street Shopping Mall car park entry that is nearest to the Hexagon theatre. Look out for a large NCP/Car Park sign on the wall directly in front of the Hexagon entrance. Once there, you need to get to floor 3 and turn right once you are on the roof. Head towards the end of the rooftop and the Co-Space building is directly in front with a vertical red /burgundy stripe in a middle of a grey concrete wall. If it's dark, look out for a two storey building with lights on and loads of people inside 🙂
**Please note: Broad Street Shopping Mall closes at 6pm and there is NO ENTRY through the mall**
