The Newcastle Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Newcastle to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in ‘listen’ not ‘sell’ mode 🙂
We’ll be meeting back at the lovely Grainger House for this one, and we just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.
Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.
Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Speaker: Nic Redman, host of The Voice Coach Podcast
Topic: Giving Your Voice a Seat at the Marketing Table
When we talk about “finding your voice” in marketing, most of us rush to think about tone of copy, brand guidelines, and clever taglines. But what about your actual voice – the one that comes out of your mouth?
In this fun, practical session, voice coach and podcast host Nic Redman will help you see (and hear) how your spoken voice is one of the most powerful and underused tools in your marketing toolkit. From podcasting and social content to speaking at events, hosting webinars, and showing up on camera, your voice plays a huge role in how your audience connects with you – and whether they trust what you’re saying.
If you’ve ever felt self-conscious about how you sound, struggled to get your personality across, or avoided video and audio because it just didn’t feel “you”, this session will help you change that. You’ll learn how to tap into your natural voice – accent, quirks, character and all – so you can show up with confidence and make your marketing sound as good as it looks.
Expect a mix of light theory, playful exercises, and simple techniques to help you sound more like yourself and turn the way you speak into a genuine lead generation tool.
Your speaker!
Nic Redman is a voice coach, speaking director and host of The Voice Coach Podcast. For over 20 years, she’s built a thriving business using her voice – as a performer, podcaster, speaker and coach – helping others do the same.
Nic works with brands like Northumbrian Water, Peloton, and HMRC to help their teams and talent sound more confident, clear, and connected. Her book On The Mic has become a go-to for podcasters and speakers who want to sound brilliant and feel good doing it.
Known for her fun, down-to-earth approach, Nic helps people find their natural voice so they can speak in a way that feels good and gets results.

We of course understand that these are tough times, so if you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the minimum donation amount of £1, please reach out to el@themarketingmeetup.com and we’ll find a ticket for you (provided capacity hasn’t already been reached!) 🙂
Please let your marketing friends and colleagues know about this group too, I hope to build it into a great resource for the community over the coming months and years. Attendance will be taken at this event. If you sign up but don’t show up, this has a knock on effect on event arrangements. If it happens 3 times, you’re outta here!
