The Liverpool Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Liverpool to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂

We’re back in the lovely Uniform offices for this one. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.

Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled out, friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.

Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Speaker: Rachel Birch, Founder and Director of House Digital
Topic: A Performance Marketing Take on Generative Search (SGE)

A talk through how we see the launch of SGE impacting digital businesses, and how our strategies are changing to ensure they are ready for the biggest SERP change we have ever seen.

Three takeaways:

-- Google's strategy is changing, instead of being a driver of traffic, Google is now a keeper of traffic, aiming to keep users on the SERP for as long as possible
-- Generative Search will impact every stage of the funnel, and will serve relevant content to users researching, right down to choosing between products
-- Generative Search is estimated to impact up to 87% of a website organic traffic, therefore, it is essential your site is optimised for SGE to prevent serious declines in traffic

Rachel is a digital marketing agency owner and consultant, with over fifteen years’ experience in SEO and Paid Advertising. She is the founder and Director of House Digital, a Lancashire based agency that specialises in all aspects of performance marketing with a focus on in-housing and digital training.

And finally...

This is a donation ticketed event. The ticket price is yours to choose, from £3 to £30 🙂

We of course understand that these are tough times, so if you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the minimum donation amount, please reach out to el@themarketingmeetup.com and we’ll find a ticket for you (provided capacity hasn't already been reached!) 🙂

Please let your marketing friends and colleagues know about this group too, I hope to build it into a great resource for the community over the coming months and years. Attendance will be taken at this event. If you sign up but don’t show up, this has a knock on effect on event arrangements. If it happens 3 times, you’re outta here! This is simply a measure to allow appropriate respect to the organisers, speakers, sponsors, and your fellow community members 🙂
