The Cambridge Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of Cambridge to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in ‘listen’ not ‘sell’ mode 🙂
We’re back in the lovely Bradfield Centre for this one. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.
Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.
Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Speaker: Fab Giovanetti, CEO at Alt Marketing School
Topic: Seasons, not Balance: how to make work fit real life
We’re all busy people, daily mixing our marketing lives our personal lives. The aim, we’re told, is to strive for a work/life balance. But the work/life balance is a myth, not because you’re doing it wrong, but because life and priorities keep changing.
Leading this conversational and practical session, Fab will reframe ‘balance’ as something dynamic (not achieved once and kept forever) and explore how to stay in the driver’s seat as your season changes.
You’ll map what ‘work’ really includes (your job, life admin, personal branding, community contributions, delivery), then use a simple Wheel of Life check-in to choose a small set of +1 actions that fit your current capacity and energy levels.
You can expect the following key takeaways;
• A new lens: seasons > balance (and it’s normal for seasons to overlap)
• A practical planning reframe for how you approach your week
• A simple exercise using a Wheel of Life
• A simple plan of action to make space in your week

And finally…
This is a donation ticketed event. The ticket price is yours to choose, from £5 to £50 (the average attendees choose to spend £11.38 🙂
We of course understand that these are tough times, so if you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the minimum donation amount, please reach out to el@themarketingmeetup.com and we’ll find a ticket for you (provided capacity hasn’t already been reached!) 🙂
Please let your marketing friends and colleagues know about this group too, I hope to build it into a great resource for the community over the coming months and years. Attendance will be taken at this event. If you sign up but don’t show up, this has a knock on effect on event arrangements. If it happens 3 times, you’re outta here! This is simply a measure to allow appropriate respect to the organisers, speakers, sponsors, and your fellow community members 🙂
