The London Marketing Meetup is an informal, friendly place for the marketers of London to meet, learn, and share knowledge with one another. Come in 'listen' not 'sell' mode 🙂
We'll be meeting up at a brand new venue for this one, at TCN UK's beautiful Piano House in Brixton. We just want to get together, say hello, have a chat, and have a nice time.
Think of this as a community event, where the focus is very much on you meeting other people in a chilled friendly space. We’ll chat over food and drink, listen to an inspirational speaker or two, chat some more, and go home buzzing with new contacts and new ideas.
Let’s have a lovely night in the company of some amazin’ people.

Speaker: Lyndon Nicholson, CEO and Founder of the Future Group
Topic: The Hollywood Method - crafting blockbuster brand stories that sell
What do the most iconic movies and unforgettable marketing campaigns have in common? Powerful storytelling.
But storytelling isn’t just for ads or brand videos — it’s a critical skill for every marketer, in every corner of the job. Whether you're building a standout brand, pitching a new idea internally, or growing your own influence as a leader, your ability to craft and communicate a compelling narrative makes all the difference.
Hear Lyndon Nicholson, CEO and Founder of the Future Group, explain how you need to rethink how you can use storytelling — inspired by Hollywood’s most effective techniques. From emotional hooks to the timeless three-act structure, you’ll learn how to develop messaging that captivates audiences, builds trust, and moves people to action.
Because this isn’t just about telling a story — it’s about mastering the art of storytelling as a strategic advantage, both for your brand and your career.
Key takeaways:
- understand *why* the best marketers use story to influence both inside and outside their organisations
- learn how to apply cinematic storytelling principles - like emotional hooks, character arcs, and the three-act structure - to make your messaging more memorable and persuasive
- practical tips on how to build own voice and credibility through story - from how you communicate progress to how you lead teams and show up in the room

And finally...
This is a donation ticketed event. The ticket price is yours to choose, from £3 to £30 🙂
We of course understand that these are tough times, so if you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot afford the minimum donation amount, please reach out to el@themarketingmeetup.com and we’ll find a ticket for you (provided capacity hasn't already been reached!) 🙂
Please let your marketing friends and colleagues know about this group too, I hope to build it into a great resource for the community over the coming months and years. Attendance will be taken at this event. If you sign up but don’t show up, this has a knock on effect on event arrangements. If it happens 3 times, you’re outta here! This is simply a measure to allow appropriate respect to the organisers, speakers, sponsors, and your fellow community members 🙂
